2011 National Champions!!!
Come celebrate the 2011 IRA national championship! The decisive victory over Harvard and Cal was the Huskies second in three years, and fourteenth overall. The Huskies also captured the second varsity eight, both four events, and the Ten Eyck Cup as overall team champions for the fifth year in a row!
In celebration, we are pleased to offer the Husky Championship ticket for this years tournament. Ticketholders will receive four mulligans, ten raffle tickets, an unlimited libation cup, and entries to all contests – an $80 value for only $50!
The 4th Annual Dave McLean Memorial Golf Classic was the largest and most successfull in history, and August 13, 2011 promises to surpass it in virtually every way. Perfect conditions are expected for the 1:30 start, along with more prizes, golfers, coaches, and fun! Coach Ernst will once again be there to welcome the crowd as Host and Master of Ceremonies, with a tremendous contingent of Old Oars, current student atheletes, and Husky Cheerleaders to keep everyone’s mind off of their slices into the woods.
Thanks to our participants, sponsors and volunteers, what began as a “friends and family” event has raised over fifty thousand dollars for the University and endowed the first of what we hope will be many scholarships on Dave’s behalf. Please consider joining us for golf, dinner, or as a sponsor, in what has become the single largest fundraiser for the University of Washington Crew program.
